Therapy is an investment in your health. There are a range of referral options:
Medicare
The first step is to get a mental health treatment plan from your GP (see FAQ for further information about this).
The fee for a 50 – 60 minute individual therapy session is $210. There is a medicare rebate of $131.65 for clients with a mental health treatment plan. The out of pocket cost is $78.35.
Private Health
If you have private health insurance you may be eligible to claim partial costs of the consultation fee. Please seek advice from your private health insurer as the amount you are reimbursed is specific to your policy and health fund provider.
Please note: You are unable to claim both Medicare and Private Health Insurance for each session.
Rural and Remote – Telehealth
If you are located in a rural or remote location and are finding challenges in accessing high quality professional health, I do offer a limited number of bulk billing or reduced fee places.
Self-referrals
You do not need a referral, simply contact to arrange an appointment. Self-referred clients are required to pay the cost of sessions at their own expense.
Cancellations
If an appointment is cancelled at late notice, it is unlikely this gap will be filled. Late cancellations mean that other clients receiving care may have lost an appointment opportunity. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, 24 hour notice is required to cancel without incurring a cancellation charge. Cancelling within 24 hours of an appointment will result in a $100 cancellation fee.
Please Note: No Medicare rebate is available for cancelled sessions.
